The Opportunity

The Foreman is responsible for the successful delivery of projects from start to finish. As the on-site leader, you ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

You play a critical role in supervising, mentoring, and supporting Abatement Technicians—providing hands-on training while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. This position is ideal for a driven professional looking to lead teams and uphold high industry standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage abatement projects across high-, medium-, and low-risk environments with a strong emphasis on safety
Plan daily site activities, assess workflow, and conduct tailgate safety meetings
Monitor and coordinate all job-site tasks to ensure timelines and quality standards are met
Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Complete and maintain accurate daily safety and project documentation
Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures
Train and mentor crew members in safe work practices, equipment use, and abatement techniques
Actively participate in abatement work and support the team as needed
Coordinate logistics, including waste bins, debris removal, and site resources
Perform routine inspections of PPE, hazmat equipment, and tools
Promote a positive team environment and uphold company culture and expectations
Apply strong problem-solving skills to address site-specific challenges in real time

What You Bring

Proven leadership experience in the abatement industry
Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
Ability to lead, train, and motivate crews effectively
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments, including extended use of PPE (respirators, hazmat suits, etc.)
Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to operate a wide range of hand and power tools
Willingness to continuously upgrade skills, knowledge, and certifications

Required Certifications & Qualifications

First Aid (OFA Level 1 or equivalent) – Mandatory
Asbestos Safety (Level 2)
Asbestos Safety Leader (Level 3)
Valid Driver’s Licence
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $37.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
