Job Responsibilities
The Director of Field Support is responsible for providing estimate training and oversight, operational support, technical guidance, and assisting with operational best practices for our locations across Canada. The ideal candidate is well-versed in all estimating platforms, is knowledgeable of various carrier SLAs, and can work effectively with franchise owners and senior leadership.
The Director of Field Support role ensures that estimators are proficient in industry standards, carrier guidelines, and estimating platforms, while maintaining accuracy, compliance and profitability across all restoration projects. The Director will work closely with operations leadership, franchise owners, project managers, and estimators to elevate technical expertise, ensure estimate quality, and drive consistency in scoping, documentation, and claim presentation. This position ensures that our valued clients and property owners have an outstanding experience and are ultimately satisfied throughout the entire restoration process.
This position serves as both a coach and quality control leader – driving estimator competency, estimate consistency, margin performance, and successful claim outcomes across all restoration projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•Oversee the quality of estimating, scoping and file documentation of local operations within the PuroClean network.
•Work collaboratively and closely with reviewers and adjusters to ensure the local teams are meeting industry standards in quality, estimating, and timing.
•Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and standardize our service and output at all locations.
o Stays abreast of technologies and industry software
•Provides estimating and project management training to personnel within the franchise locations, as required
o Complete internal estimate reviews
o Train and support the team in the field
o Establish and support continuous improvement process across all locations
•Works closely with members of the leadership team to improve efficiencies, best-practices, and integrate administrative and operational support into the overall success.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities
•Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct
•Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies
•May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to successfully integrate regional platforms and functions
•Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work
•Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management
•Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned
•Availability to travel throughout Canada (up to 25% of time)
Required Education & Experience
•5+ years of estimating experience in the insurance restoration industry
•Advanced proficiency in Xactimate (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
•Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and carrier standards
•Experience in water, fire and reconstruction restoration projects
•Experience in a training or leadership role
•Familiarity with job management systems - DASH/CoreLogic and PSA experience would be considered an asset

•IICRC (WRT, FSRT)
•IICRC (Odour, Applied Structural Drying, Applied Microbial Remediation technician) is an asset
•Proven ability to manage, coach and mentor team members
•Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documentation provided by consultants
•Ability to work safely and efficiently within a team environment or independently
•Excellent negotiating skills
•Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
•Strong drive to see project through to completion
