Full job description

Yoci Academy is looking for a qualified English teacher to teach part-time English classes for elementary and secondary school students.

Requirements:

Must hold a Quebec teaching certificate, or have an equivalent recognized teaching qualification;
Experience teaching English Language Arts, ESL, reading, writing, and/or grammar to elementary and secondary school students;
Familiarity with the Quebec school curriculum is preferred;
Responsible, patient, and able to adapt lessons to students’ levels and needs;
Available during the summer and/or during the school year.

Schedule and Conditions:

This is a part-time position. The teaching schedule is flexible and can be discussed based on the teacher’s availability and student needs.

Classes may begin during the summer and may continue after the school year starts.

Yoci Academy provides teaching materials and textbooks. Paid preparation time and paid homework correction time are included.

Main Responsibilities:

Teach English to elementary and secondary school students;
Help students improve reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and oral expression;
Support students with homework, schoolwork, and exam preparation;
Correct homework and provide constructive feedback;
Adapt lessons according to each student’s level and learning goals.

Yoci Academy est à la recherche d’un(e) enseignant(e) d’anglais qualifié(e) pour donner des cours d’anglais à temps partiel à des élèves du primaire et du secondaire.

Profil recherché :

Détenir un brevet d’enseignement du Québec, ou une qualification équivalente reconnue ;
Avoir de l’expérience en enseignement de l’anglais, de l’English Language Arts, de l’anglais langue seconde, de la lecture, de l’écriture et/ou de la grammaire auprès d’élèves du primaire et du secondaire ;
Une bonne connaissance du programme scolaire québécois est un atout ;
Être responsable, patient(e) et capable d’adapter son enseignement au niveau et aux besoins de chaque élève ;
Être disponible pendant l’été et/ou durant l’année scolaire.

Horaire et conditions :

Il s’agit d’un poste à temps partiel. Les horaires sont flexibles et peuvent être discutés selon les disponibilités de l’enseignant(e) et les besoins des élèves.

Les cours peuvent commencer pendant l’été et se poursuivre après la rentrée scolaire.

Yoci Academy fournit le matériel pédagogique et les manuels nécessaires. Le temps de préparation ainsi que le temps consacré à la correction des devoirs sont rémunérés.

Responsabilités principales :

Enseigner l’anglais à des élèves du primaire et du secondaire ;
Aider les élèves à améliorer leur compréhension de lecture, leur écriture, leur grammaire, leur vocabulaire et leur expression orale ;
Soutenir les élèves dans leurs devoirs, leurs travaux scolaires et leur préparation aux examens ;
Corriger les devoirs et donner des rétroactions constructives ;
Adapter les cours selon le niveau et les objectifs d’apprentissage de chaque élève.
