Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and patient High School Math Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects to help students improve their understanding and confidence.

Duties

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding key concepts across subjects such as math, computer science, and special education
Develop customized lesson plans and educational materials to enhance learning outcomes
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation
Collaborate with parents and teachers to support student success
Utilize computer skills to incorporate educational technology into tutoring sessions
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress

Requirements

Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting
Strong knowledge of high school math. G9-G12.
Teaching experience or classroom experience is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs, including special education considerations
Passion for education and helping students succeed
Reliable, patient, and motivated to make a positive impact on students’ academic journeys

Pay: $18.26-$22.00 per hour
