Teacher Assistant for Before & After School Program (Kindergarten) at Robert Munsch Kids Club

Location: 395 King St East, Mount Albert, ON ,L0G 1M0

Number of Position(s): 2
Start Date: September 1, 2026
Salary: $22.10/hour PLUS Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hour)
Hours of Work: 25 hours per week with the possibility of additional supply hours

**Must be available to work a SPLIT SHIFT (7-8am and 2-6pm) Monday through Friday to be considered for a position**

Responsibilities and Duties

To assist ECE with planning and implementing an age appropriate program indoors and outdoors meeting the requirements of “How Does Learning Happen?” and the 4 foundations
To create a professional and positive image for the Agency on a daily basis
To have a working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act and be in compliance with the Policies and Procedures of the Agency
To work as a member of a team which includes other staff, parents, community and the Agency
To share in the care and housekeeping tasks of the Centre
To grow and improve in the knowledge and skills required for the job
To create an inclusive environment where each child and family is valued

Skills and Qualifications

Experience working with children JK to 12 years of age
Recent Vulnerable Sector Check
A valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate
Up to date immunizations
Familiar with "How Does Learning Happen?" would be an asset
Strong programming and communications skills
Strong knowledge of child development
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable interacting with and supporting families and community members
Ability to actively participate in the outdoor program in inclement weather
Physically able to lift and/or assist with the moving of a child, the moving of supplies or equipment
