Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. There may be an opportunity for fabricating. This role requires an understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical principles, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications. The position offers an engaging environment where craftsmanship and precision are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations to repair metal structures and components
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
Operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to measure and verify dimensions accurately
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Assist with machining, assembly, ductwork fabrication, and construction tasks as needed
Conduct quality inspections on finished welds to ensure compliance with specifications and standards

Skills

Experience at a Marina is an asset
Minimum 2 years experience as a welder
Proficiency in MIG welding, plasma cutting, and general welding techniques
Capable of working independently
Experience with use of hand tools and power tools
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with machining processes including the use of calipers and press brake machines
Knowledge of ductwork fabrication, construction practices, and schematics interpretation
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding, manufacturing environments, and equipment operation

This position is ideal for candidates who possess a strong technical background in welding combined with mechanical aptitude. We value precision craftsmanship, safety awareness, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
