CGI Montréal is looking for a Project Manager / Scrum Master to join its IT Group organization responsible for delivering network infrastructure projects across North America. As part of its operating model transformation, our client – a leading organization in the mining sector – aims to progressively adopt Agile practices while continuing to successfully deliver a portfolio of projects traditionally managed using more conventional project management methodologies. Your future duties and responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure and network projects
- Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, dependency mappings, and risk mitigation strategies
- Coordinate activities across technical teams, vendors, external partners, and business stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and provide governance reporting to leadership
- Manage issues, risks, scope changes, and escalations
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives
Agile Leadership and Transformation
- Serve as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator where appropriate
- Introduce and progressively promote Agile practices within delivery teams
- Coach managers, technical teams, and stakeholders on Agile principles and ways of working
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Establish Agile performance metrics and maturity indicators
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and foster a culture of learning and collaboration
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a hybrid governance model that balances project management requirements with Agile delivery practices
Collaboration and Influence
- Build trusted relationships with technical teams and business leaders
- Influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Facilitate conflict resolution and decision-making processes
- Promote collaboration among infrastructure, network, security, operations, and vendor teams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project management
- Proven track record delivering technology infrastructure projects
- Significant experience in network infrastructure, telecommunications, data centers, cloud environments, or other critical infrastructure domains
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead, Agile Coach, or Agile facilitator
- Demonstrated success leading Agile adoption initiatives within organizations or teams
- Experience working in complex, multi-site environments involving numerous stakeholders
- Experience within mining, industrial, manufacturing, or other mission-critical operational environments is considered a strong asset
- Strong leadership and team engagement capabilities
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Strategic mindset with strong results orientation
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and organizational change
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities
- Pragmatic approach to Agile practices, adapted to business realities
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification and/or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification will be considered an asset
- Network certifications (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.) will be considered an asset
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including: Networks (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN), Data Centers, Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Cybersecurity,Telecommunications
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies: PMBOK, Waterfall
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe (asset)
- Experience with project and Agile management tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Microsoft Project

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 80 000$ et 155 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
