Job Title: Swamper/Labourer
Location: Salmon Arm, BC / Armstrong, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Overview:

SCV Waste Solutions is looking for a Swamper/Labourer to join our growing team based out of our Salmon Arm and Armstrong location. The Swamper/Labourer is responsible for assisting with operations in our recycle facility, including baling operations, as well as swamping for our garbage/compost collection truck.

Key Responsibilities:

Physically assist the driver in completing daily collection routes using safe working procedures.
Provide route directions and program updates to the driver based on daily briefing notes.
Provide above-and-beyond customer service at all collection sites.
Actively participate in SCV’s health and safety programs and comply with all company safe work practices and procedures.
Assist with additional duties as required, including unloading collection trucks, tipping waste bins, washing organics bins, baling materials, bin assembly, and maintaining yard and shop standards.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Capable of lifting up to 75lbs.
High level of physical stamina and endurance.
