Career Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Manager, with experience in Operations, Business Development & Marketing to lead operational excellence, drive strategic growth initiatives, strengthen market presence, and enhance the overall customer experience.
This senior leadership role requires a results-oriented professional with demonstrated expertise in operations management, strategic planning, and integrated targeted marketing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting OBASA Suites’ continued expansion while ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services to clients and guests. This position requires mandatory travel between Saskatoon and Regina, as the role is integral to maintaining operational cohesiveness, collaboration, and strategic alignment between both offices. The Manager will provide leadership support across locations to ensure consistent standards, communication, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support OBASA Suites’ corporate housing and furnished accommodation model in Saskatoon.
- Align short-term stays, extended stays, insurance placements, government housing, and relocation services with overall company growth objectives.
- Establish measurable KPIs focused on occupancy rates, guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and competitive positioning within the Saskatoon, Regina markets.
2. Operational Excellence – Furnished Suites Portfolio
- Oversee the day-to-day management of fully furnished residential suites, ensuring readiness, quality, and consistency across all properties.
- Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, staging, and suite turnover processes to meet OBASA’s high standards.
- Ensure seamless check-in and check-out experiences for corporate clients, relocating families, insurance-displaced guests, and extended-stay residents.
- Maintain strong collaboration with property owners, landlords, and building management teams.
3. Guest Experience & Client Relationship Management
- Ensure delivery of premium, hotel-quality service within a residential living environment.
- Manage relationships with corporate clients, insurance adjusters, relocation companies, and government partners.
- Address escalated guest concerns professionally and efficiently to maintain OBASA’s reputation for service excellence.
- Implement service standards that reflect comfort, cleanliness, flexibility, and responsiveness.
4. Revenue Optimization & Market Performance
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and average daily rates (ADR) across short- and long-term stays.
- Monitor market trends within Saskatoon’s corporate housing, rental, and hospitality sectors.
- Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships, and new client acquisitions.
- Support targeted promotional initiatives during seasonal fluctuations to maintain revenue stability.
5. Financial & Budget Management
- Oversee operational budgets related to furnished suites, including housekeeping, utilities, maintenance, furnishings, and vendor contracts.
- Monitor daily and monthly financial performance, adjusting forecasts as needed.
- Implement cost-control strategies while maintaining OBASA’s premium service standards.
- Ensure strong financial stewardship and sustainable profitability.
6. Marketing Activities
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to increase OBASA Suites’ brand visibility, attract new clients, and drive occupancy for both short-term and long-term furnished accommodations.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website content management, social media engagement, email campaigns, and performance analytics tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to create compelling promotional materials, campaigns, and advertising targeted to corporate clients, relocation companies, insurance partners, and government agencies.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize marketing investments, and maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Plan and implement promotional strategies to boost bookings during off-peak periods, ensuring consistent occupancy and revenue growth.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels while highlighting OBASA Suites’ unique value proposition as a premium provider of furnished corporate housing and extended-stay accommodations.
7. Resource & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement of furnishings, décor, linens, and household essentials to maintain high-quality suite presentation.
- Oversee vendor relationships for cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and logistics.
- Optimize resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and suite readiness.
8. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all operations comply with municipal, provincial, and housing regulations in Saskatchewan.
- Maintain health, safety, and insurance compliance standards.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of furnished suites to ensure brand consistency.
9. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and mentor operations, housekeeping, and administrative teams in Saskatoon.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to promote accountability and service excellence.
- Foster a culture aligned with OBASA’s values of professionalism, responsiveness, and client care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree considered an asset).
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in Hospitality operations and reservations, business development, marketing, corporate housing, real estate, or a related service-based industry.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, and market expansion.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics (KPIs).
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business and marketing plans.
- Experience in sales strategy development, client relationship management, and revenue optimization.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and staff development skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and performance analytics tools.

- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Saskatoon and Regina.
