Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sandblaster/Painter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves preparing and finishing metal components through sandblasting and painting processes, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and a strong understanding of safety protocols in an industrial environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing setting, contributing to the production of durable, high-quality products.

Duties

Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of metal parts for painting or coating.
Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using spray guns, brushes, or rollers with precision and attention to detail.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools as needed for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
Assist with assembly and machining processes when required, supporting overall production workflows.
Follow safety procedures related to the use of crane, forklift, and other heavy machinery to ensure a safe work environment.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards.
Perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints or coatings accurately.
Adhere to lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste during production processes.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
Familiarity with crane operation and forklift handling is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to industrial sandblasting and painting operations.
Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing ratios accurately.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement efforts.
Experience with assembly processes and familiarity with machining techniques is advantageous.

This position requires a dedicated individual committed to quality workmanship, safety awareness, and continuous learning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
