Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counsellors to join our summer program. This role involves supervising and engaging with children in a safe, fun, and educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in early childhood education or related fields. As a Camp Counsellor, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences that promote growth, learning, and enjoyment for all campers.

Duties

Supervise and ensure the safety of children during camp activities, outings, and free time.
Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational sessions.
Support children's social development by encouraging teamwork, communication, and positive interactions.
Assist with the planning and execution of daily schedules to ensure a balanced mix of fun and learning.
Provide tutoring or educational support as needed to help children with their learning goals.
Maintain a clean and organized activity area, ensuring all equipment is used safely.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns.
Collaborate with fellow staff members to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.

Skills

Experience in tutoring or teaching young children is highly desirable.
Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
Strong ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members professionally.
Creativity in planning engaging activities that promote learning and fun.
