Full job description

tripcentral.ca is looking to hire a Business Process Improvement Specialist to join our growing team! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real, visible impact -you'll partner directly with the Finance Director to analyze processes across the organization, identify opportunities for improvement, and roll out practical solutions that stick.

You'll also help administer key business systems, including Zoho Desk, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement and positioning the organization to take advantage of automation and emerging AI-enabled technologies. If you're excited by the idea of shaping how a growing organization operates, this role is for you.

This opportunity will be full-time, operating on a 6-month fixed-term.

Key ResponsibilitiesContinuous Improvement & Process Excellence

Analyze processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, using process mapping, root cause analysis, and gap analysis.
Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and workflow diagrams (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart).
Standardize procedures and CI methodologies across departments, partnering with stakeholders to document and improve current-state processes.

Business Systems & Transformation

Support business transformation initiatives and evaluate automation, workflow, and AI-powered tools.
Administer and continuously improve Zoho Desk (workflows, forms, fields, automations, SLAs, business rules).
Translate departmental requirements into system improvements; troubleshoot and resolve workflow/configuration issues.
Test and validate new configurations, coordinate UAT, and develop training materials.

Performance & Governance

Establish governance and reporting frameworks; track benefits realization and report on outcomes.
Provide stakeholder updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Identify and drive elimination of non-value-added activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, operations, systems administration, or a similar role.
Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar frameworks.
Experience using structured problem-solving tools and root cause analysis techniques.
Experience supporting or administering business applications such as Zoho, Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Visio (or similar process mapping tools).
Experience with workflow automation platforms is considered an asset.

Preferred Experience

Strong experience developing SOPs and operational documentation.
Experience documenting business processes and creating process workflows.
Experience with Zoho Desk or the Zoho One platform.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent continuous improvement experience).
Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
Exposure to AI tools, workflow automation, or low-code/no-code platforms to improve business processes.
Experience with process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or Bizagi.
Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zoho Flow, Power Automate, Zapier, Make). experience leading system implementations, process redesign, or organizational change initiation
