Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Front House Staff member to join the team at Kaiseki Yu-zen Hashimoto Restaurant. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, efficient food handling, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, food industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and contribute to a positive dining experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
Take orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS, and handle cashiering duties with precision
Manage guest inquiries and assist with menu recommendations, upselling items when appropriate
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained during food handling and preparation
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change
Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including dining space, counters, and service stations
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Support guest services by addressing concerns promptly and professionally to enhance overall guest satisfaction

Experience

Previous food service or restaurant experience of 3 years is required
Smart serve certification aquired.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly touchbistro / lightspeed
Level 1 Proficiency in Japanese and/or Level B2 TOEIC English proficiency.
Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest engagement
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures. Food Handling certificate preferred.
Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This role offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, professionalism, and dedication are valued. Pay: $17.20-$25.16 per hour
