Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About Regional Car Rentals

Regional Car Rentals is a rapidly growing vehicle rental company serving customers across the Greater Toronto Area. We are focused on delivering exceptional customer service, building efficient operations, and creating a scalable business positioned for long-term growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as the Owner’s right-hand executive and lead the day-to-day management of the company. This is a senior leadership position responsible for executing the company’s vision, leading the team, optimizing operations, and driving growth across every department.

This is an opportunity to join a growing business at an early stage and play a key role in shaping its future.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall day-to-day operations of Regional Car Rentals.
Execute the company’s strategic vision in partnership with the Owner.
Build, lead, mentor, and manage high-performing teams across all departments.
Develop and implement systems, policies, and operational procedures that support growth.
Oversee fleet management, customer service, administration, sales, marketing initiatives, and business operations.
Drive operational excellence through continuous process improvement and performance management.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure company goals are consistently achieved.
Manage budgets, operating expenses, vendor relationships, and resource allocation.
Monitor financial and operational performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to the Owner.
Recruit, train, and develop management and operational staff.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth initiatives.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Represent the company with customers, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
Take ownership of major business initiatives and solve complex operational challenges.

Qualifications

7+ years of senior leadership or executive management experience.
Proven experience leading teams and managing business operations.
Strong understanding of business strategy, finance, and operational management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Experience building systems and scaling growing businesses.
Financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.
Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence.
Experience in automotive, vehicle rentals, transportation, logistics, hospitality, or another service-based industry is considered an asset.
