CELLAR HAND / ASSISTANT BREWER
This role supports the brewing team in the day-to-day operations of the production facility, including cellar work, safe product handling, brewing support, and occasional packaging assistance. This role is suited for individuals with a strong work ethic and interest in developing brewing knowledge and hands-on production skills within a professional brewery environment.
Role Details

- Reporting to: Head Brewer
- Type: Full time; hours may vary (typical shifts are Monday to Friday, 9-5pm)
- Compensation: $21-$25/hour

Job Duties
- Lead the cleaning of fermenters, brite tanks, and transferring of beer.
- Detailed daily record keeping and logging of cellaring parameters (gravity, temperature, pH).
- Fermentation additions (dry hopping, fruit, finings).
- Carbonation of beer after transfer to brite tanks.
- Ensure tools and workspace remain clean and organized.
- Safe handling of chemicals, working with hot temperatures, pressurized vessels.
- Assist with brewing related tasks (milling, inventory, CIP, etc.)
- Assist supervisor with assigned duties.
- General maintenance and cleaning of equipment/surrounding areas.
- Support the packaging department if/when facility demands require
- Other duties as required.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in varying environments, including hot, cold, and confined spaces
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting
Requirements
- 1-2 years production brewery and/or cellar experience
- Formal brewing education and/or post-secondary in a related field considered an asset.
- Forklift license considered an asset
- Safety shoes
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, able to bend and twist
- Comply with safety procedures
