Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Partner to serve as a trusted HR advisor to leaders and employees across multiple operational locations.

This role will provide hands-on HR leadership and guidance across a broad range of people-related matters, including employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, workforce initiatives, and leadership development. The HR Partner will work closely with leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure consistent and effective application of HR practices.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, building strong relationships across multiple locations, exercising sound judgment in complex situations, and balancing day-to-day operational priorities with broader organizational goals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with assigned leadership teams.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, workplace concerns, investigations, performance management, and other HR matters.
Support leaders with the interpretation and application of workplace policies, employment legislation, and collective agreement provisions.
Partner with leaders on labour relations matters, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance management, employee relations, and union interactions.
Monitor and utilize workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and support operational decision-making.
Provide guidance on employee engagement, recognition, performance development, attendance, workforce planning, and other people-related initiatives.
Provide employees with guidance on HR programs, workplace policies, benefits, and other employment-related matters, while ensuring appropriate issues are escalated and resolved.
Provide education and coaching to leaders and employees on HR programs, processes, and best practices.
Assist leadership teams with HR systems and workforce management technology.
Maintain accurate employee information and HR documentation while supporting compliance, audits, and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with other members of the HR team on projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Provide regular on-site HR support across assigned locations.
Exercise sound judgment and discretion when navigating complex employee and workplace matters, escalating issues appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and consistency.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Partner, HR Advisor, or comparable role.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience managing employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
Experience supporting multiple locations, departments, or operational teams.
Experience working in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreements.
Knowledge of current employment legislation, HR practices, and workplace policies.
Demonstrated ability to coach, advise, and influence leaders.
Experience facilitating training, education, or coaching related to HR programs and processes.
Experience in healthcare, continuing care, or another regulated environment is considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when navigating complex employee and workplace matters.
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between assigned locations.
Ability to complete required background screening, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, where applicable.
