Résumé : Le serveur est chargé de prendre les commandes de repas et de boissons; saisir les commandes rapidement et dans le bon ordre; servir les plats et les boissons aux clients dans sa section comme dans d'autres sections; assurer la coordination avec les cuisines afin de garantir un service réactif et la qualité des plats; et proposer la meilleure qualité de service au client en tout temps; exerce toutes les autres responsabilités selon les directives liées à l'activité ou confiées par la direction. Il s’agit d’un poste syndiqué qui relève généralement du gérant du magasin, de l’assistant-gérant du magasin ou du directeur des opérations, suivant les exigences locales.

Fonctions essentielles

Prend les commandes de plats et de boissons, passe les commandes, livre les commandes, effectue un contrôle une fois le plat servi afin de garantir la satisfaction du client, observe les clients afin de répondre à tout besoin supplémentaire
Entretient l'aspect de la table par la mise en place, contrôle les débits des boissons, retire tout encombrement et propose des serviettes appropriées, etc
Présente la facture pour le règlement et rend la monnaie le cas échéant
Applique l'ensemble des politiques et procédures liées au service à la clientèle HMS Host, aux boissons alcoolisées et à la manipulation de l’argent
Veille au maintien de la propreté de la station, configure et dispose les tables de la station judicieusement
Effectuer toutes les autres tâches connexes assignées ou demandées par le superviseur immédiat.

Compétences minimales, connaissances, aptitudes et environnement de travail :

Doit respecter l'âge minimum défini par l'état pour la vente de boissons alcoolisées
Nécessite au moins 6 mois d'expérience liée étroitement au service, expérience professionnelle en restauration avec service important, restauration informelle et rapide, souhaitée
Capacité à communiquer avec le public et les collègues en étant amical, enthousiaste et ouvert
Capacité de soulever et/ou déplacer des objets pesant au maximum 10 kg (20 lb)
Nécessite la capacité de marcher, se pencher, de se tourner et de se tenir debout pour exécuter les tâches normales associées à ce poste
Capacité de parler, écrire et comprendre les instructions, correspondances brèves et documents de politique, et à converser facilement avec les clients
Doit souvent immerger ses mains dans de l’eau et de l’eau renfermant des solutions chimiques

Summary

The Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders; entering orders quickly and in proper sequence; serving food and beverages for guests in their section as well as other sections; coordinating with the kitchen to ensure timely service and quality of the food; and providing the highest quality of service to the customer at all times; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions

Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery of food to ensure guest satisfaction, observes guests to respond to any additional needs
Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, removes clutter and provides adequate napkins, etc
Presents check for payment and provides change as needed
Follows HMSHost customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures
Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately
Performs all other related duties assigned or requested by management

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment

Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
Requires at least 6 months of closely related serving experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs
Requires the ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
