Mill Maintenance - General Foreman

Location: Near Likely, BC (This is not a fly-in/fly-out camp)
Schedule: 8 days on / 6 days off – 10-hour shifts
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Mount Polley Mining Corporation (MPMC) is currently seeking a Mill Maintenance General Foreman with a strong technical maintenance background to join our team. Reporting directly to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for leading all aspects of mill and crusher maintenance, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the Mill Maintenance and Crusher Maintenance Supervisors
Support troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions
Develop and revise standard work practices to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
Ensure maintenance activities comply with all company policies and procedures
Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope
Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and coordinate maintenance support
Recommend staffing levels and participate in the recruitment and hiring process
Conduct annual performance reviews and support employee development
Assist in performance management and resolution of disciplinary issues
Provide oversight and guidance to the maintenance planning team

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in a mining environment
Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Trade Qualification
Proven leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Extensive experience with rod and ball mills, gyratory, and cone crushers
Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Proficient with computer systems and software; SAP experience considered a strong asset
