Full job description

DD Mau started off as a small Vietnamese banh mi shop in Yaletown in 2012 and with our second location, we are serving more than just sandwiches. Our Chinatown location offers an expanded menu that provides the downtown area with awesome Vietnamese street food and cocktails. Think Vietnamese food meets Japanese Izakaya. We are a growing company that is looking to recruit and build a strong team to be a part of our family.

We are hiring aspiring chefs and cooks that are looking to elevate Vietnamese cuisine. We are looking for:

Line Cook : AM/PM Shifts varying from 9:30am - 12:30am, Tuesday-Saturday

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare menu items according to recipes, policies, procedures, and standard portion sizes.
Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
Helps kitchen out with restocking items during service.
Helps to wash, clean and organize dishes and kitchen equipment.
Maintaining freshness and quality of products.

Shift availability:

Day shift from 9:30am - 5:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday
Evening shift from 5:30pm - 11:30am, Tuesday-Saturday

Requirements:

Foodsafe Certification
Minimum 1 year restaurant experience as a prep cook or line cook.
Vietnamese language and knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine is an asset.
