Type of position

ADW is seeking a CAD Technologist for a Full-time role in Woodbridge, ON.

Responsibilities

Generate precision 3D models and production-ready manufacturing blueprints to be utilized by state-of-the-art design automation tools
Systematically troubleshoot, refactor, and update existing automation tools to ensure maximum stability and operational performance.
Actively participate in core system discussions to help direct user interface and functionality requirements.
Partner closely with Software Developers to engineer bespoke design automation tools that solve complex, real-world engineering challenges.

Qualifications

Proficiency in SolidWorks computer-aided design (CAD) software (required).
Post-secondary education in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or Engineering Technology (degree or diploma) or equivalent hands-on experience.
Demonstrated experience creating detailed fabrication, construction, and installation drawings grounded in design engineering principles.
Previous experience in architectural steel, industrial equipment, mechanical design, or energy sector projects is a plus.
