Full job description

The Opportunity

18 Month Contract

· Work with all levels of departments (internal/external) to resolve accounts payable issues in a timely manner.

· Compile and communicate purchase price variance exceptions to buyers for standard cost validation and update.

· Responsible to review and clear the open PO/RMPO log on a monthly basis against vendor invoices/credits.

· Ensure all invoices are properly coded.

· Obtain authorization/approval for all invoices as per approval matrix before processing.

· Reconcile supplier statements to resolve any discrepancies and respond to supplier inquires.

· Other accounting duties as assigned by Accounts Payable supervisor.

· Provide assistance and backup coverage during absence of AP team members.

Skills and Behaviours

· Post-secondary diploma/degree in an accounting/business related discipline.

· Enrollment in an Accounting Designation program (i.e. CPA Program) is preferred.

· Minimum 3 years accounts payable experience, including exposure to general accounting/month-end processes.

· Previous exposure to dealing with shared business services.

· Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and reconciliation.

· Strong computer skills, including Intermediate Excel and working knowledge of Access.

· ERP system knowledge.

· Proven written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong organization skills and the ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

· Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight corporate deadlines.

Contrat de 18 mois

· Collaborer avec tous les échelons des services (internes/externes) afin de résoudre rapidement les problèmes liés aux comptes fournisseurs.

· Recenser les écarts de prix d’achat et les communiquer aux acheteurs afin de valider et de mettre à jour les coûts standard.

· Vérifier et régulariser chaque mois le registre des bons de commande et des bons de commande de retour de matériel en cours, en les comparant aux factures et aux crédits des fournisseurs.

· S’assurer que toutes les factures sont correctement codées.

· Obtenir l’autorisation ou l’approbation pour toutes les factures conformément à la grille d’approbation avant leur traitement.

· Effectuer le rapprochement des relevés des fournisseurs afin de résoudre les éventuels écarts et de répondre à leurs demandes de renseignements.

· Effectuer les autres tâches comptables confiées par la superviseure des Comptes fournisseurs.

· Fournir de l’assistance et du renfort en cas d’absence des membres de l’équipe des Comptes fournisseurs.

Aptitudes et comportements

· Diplôme d’études postsecondaires dans une discipline liée à la comptabilité ou à l’administration des affaires.

· Inscription à un programme menant à un titre professionnel en comptabilité (par exemple, le programme CPA souhaitée.

· Au moins trois ans d’expérience dans le domaine des comptes fournisseurs, y compris une connaissance des processus de comptabilité générale et de clôture de fin de mois.

· Expérience préalable dans le domaine des services partagés.

· Excellentes compétences pour l’analyse et le rapprochement des données.

· Solides compétences informatiques, notamment une maîtrise intermédiaire d’Excel et une connaissance pratique d’Access.

· Connaissance des systèmes PRE.

· Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale, ainsi qu’en relations interpersonnelles.

· Solides aptitudes à l’organisation et capacité de travailler dans un environnement au rythme soutenu et en constante évolution.

· Capacité de bien travailler sous pression et de respecter des échéances serrées.
