Job Description

We are a construction company specializing in hotel renovations and hospitality improvement projects. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to join our growing team. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of construction and renovation tasks while helping deliver high-quality renovation projects in active hotel environments.

Work locations vary depending on the project and may include hotels throughout Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Breslau, and surrounding areas. Employees will report directly to the assigned job site or another designated meeting location as directed by the project manager.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled tradespeople with general construction and renovation work.
Perform demolition and site preparation, including removing drywall, flooring, fixtures, and other building materials.
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist with framing, drywall installation, painting preparation, flooring installation, and finishing work.
Help protect hotel property and surrounding work areas during renovations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Remove construction debris and dispose of waste according to site procedures.
Follow all company safety policies and workplace health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Qualifications

Previous construction or renovation experience is an asset but not required.
Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience using basic hand and power tools is an asset.
Experience operating heavy equipment or construction machinery is considered an asset.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable transportation to various job sites is preferred. Schedule
Up to 40 hours per week
8-hour day shifts

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
