Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment and support the creation of memorable dining experiences.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of food quality
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations
Prepare and cook menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
Ensure adherence to restaurant policies, health codes, and sanitation practices
Support restaurant management in planning menus, developing new dishes, and maintaining customer satisfaction
Serve as a leader during busy service hours, demonstrating excellent teamwork and leadership skills

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
Extensive restaurant management knowledge including food safety practices and kitchen operations
Skilled in food handling, serving protocols, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to quality service and continuous improvement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
