Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests receive outstanding service in a friendly and efficient manner. Duties

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing menus and information about daily specials.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are noted.
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction.
Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards guests and team members alike.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
