GENERAL LABOURER

The Opportunity:

Moon River Property Solutions is your trusted partner for stress-free cottage living across Central Georgian Bay, Muskoka, and surrounding areas. From renovations and custom carpentry to dock and deck construction, we deliver quality workmanship with personalized service.

Whether it’s seasonal openings and closings, propane delivery, or light freight and barging, our team makes cottage ownership easier. With a wide range of services – including interior design, cleaning, and year-round maintenance – we help our customers spend more time enjoying the lake and less time worrying about upkeep.

Position Overview:

The General Labourer plays an important supporting role across a wide range of projects, including construction, dock work, and general cottage maintenance. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn and grow within the skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist carpenters and skilled trades on construction and maintenance projects
Load, unload, and transport materials and tools
Prepare and clean job sites
Assist with dock installation, repairs, and removal
Perform general cottage maintenance tasks (e.g., openings, closings, property upkeep)
Support roofing, framing, and finishing work as directed
Operate basic hand and power tools safely
Travel by boat to job sites, including island locations
Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Strong work ethic and reliability
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Comfort working in close proximity to water
Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual labour tasks

Requirements:

· Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence (preferred)

· Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (asset or willingness to obtain)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
