Job Overview
6ixty Wings Chatham is seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Kitchen Staff member to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and assisting with food preparation and kitchen duties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service and cashiering within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Operate POS systems
Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
Assist in food preparation, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
Serve customers with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience through excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both the kitchen and dining areas
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy
Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures at all times
Support kitchen staff with basic prep work as needed, contributing to smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Good understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
Ability to work well as part of a team in a dynamic environment

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
