Full job description

Lakeview Bookkeeping is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Administrative & Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team.

This is a unique role that combines administrative support, bookkeeping assistance, and office coordination. While you will be employed by Lakeview Bookkeeping, your primary workspace will be within one of our client's offices, a small, established construction company in Kelowna.

Please note: This is NOT a work from home/remote position. You will be working from an office located in Kelowna, BC.

It's a laid-back construction environment where no two days are exactly the same. One minute you might be entering invoices, the next you're helping track down paperwork, dropping a cheque at the bank, assisting with project documentation, or supporting the bookkeeping team with client work.

If you enjoy variety in your day, can work independently, and aren't afraid of a construction-office atmosphere, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

Administrative Support

Answering phones and assisting with general office inquiries
Receiving and organizing mail and deliveries
Filing and document management
Printing reports and assisting management with administrative requests
Taking deposits and cheques to the bank as required
Assisting with construction documentation and statutory declarations
Maintaining organized digital and paper filing systems

Bookkeeping Support

Data entry
Entering invoices and bills
Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
Maintaining organized financial records
Supporting bookkeeping projects for multiple clients as needed
General administrative support for the Lakeview Bookkeeping team

What We're Looking For:

Required Skills

Previous administrative or bookkeeping experience
Experience with Sage and QuickBooks Online are a must
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Adobe etc.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
Strong communication skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Bonus Points If You Have

Payroll experience
Experience working in the construction industry

Location: Kelowna, BC
Compensation: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Ideally 3–5 days per week, approximately 7:30am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:00pm
