Job Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team at our Burnaby, BC location. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, CAD and BIM models, and detailed design documentation to support construction and engineering projects. This role involves creating accurate technical drawings, verifying compliance with specifications, and assisting with cost and material estimates. The Draftsperson will play a key role in ensuring design accuracy and supporting project delivery through collaboration with engineers, technologists, and other team members.

Duties And Skills

Prepare engineering drawings and designs from sketches, concepts, specifications, and supporting data.
Create and update Building Information Models (BIM) and CAD drawings to represent construction and engineering projects.
Develop and prepare detailed design sketches and drawing sets.
Verify and check drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Compile documentation packages and maintain drawing records.
Assist in preparing construction specifications, cost estimates, and material requirements.
Write and contribute to technical reports related to design and project documentation.
Millwork drafting experience
The knowledge to use TOPSOLID

Education and Experience Required

A Secondary School Diploma is required
Minimum 2 years of experience in drawing software, and a basic understanding of millwork construction
