Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator with future consideration for Leadhand to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery, overseeing production processes, and ensuring high-quality output. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC equipment, and leadership skills to guide a team effectively. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision manufacturing and quality standards.

Duties

Operate and set up press brake machines to produce metal components according to blueprints and specifications
Set up and Operate Brake Presses (Cincinnati) with minimal supervision
·Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Ability to operate CNC computer and input all required measurement and coordinates.
Fluent with Metric and Imperial measurements with ability to quickly convert from one to the other
·Forklift licence, forklift operation for material handling.
Oversee daily production activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met
Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and measurement verification
Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements
Work with various materials, Aluminum, Stainless, Bronze, Manganese and Hot Rolled steel up to 3/4” in thickness
Fast paced environment with tight schedules and physical demands
Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues
Supervise team members, providing guidance on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control
Ensure compliance with safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling when necessary
Document production data accurately and report any discrepancies or issues to management
Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance
Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform quality inspections using calipers and other measurement tools
Strong understanding of basic math related to measurements and tolerances
Experience with hand tools, assembly processes, and quality control procedures
Familiarity with crane operation and forklift handling is a plus
Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and problem-solving skills

This role is integral to maintaining high standards of production efficiency and product quality within our manufacturing facility. We seek motivated individuals committed to excellence in precision metal fabrication.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
