Full job description

Position Overview

Our client, a busy warehouse and distribution facility in Brantford, is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely loading and unloading sea containers and transport trucks, moving materials throughout the warehouse, and ensuring inventory is stored accurately and efficiently.

This position requires proven experience operating multiple types of forklifts, including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, and Dock Stocker equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Counterbalance, Reach Truck, and Dock Stocker forklift
Load and unload sea containers and transport trucks efficiently
Move, stack, and organize product within warehouse locations
Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
Perform inventory movements and replenishment as required
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
Ensure products are handled safely to prevent damage
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company health and safety procedures and warehouse protocols
Assist with general warehouse duties as required

Qualifications

Valid forklift certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience of operating - Counterbalance Forklift, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker
Experience loading and unloading sea containers and transport trucks
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable transportation to and from the Brantford location
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a distribution, logistics, or warehousing environment
Shipping and receiving experience considered an asset
Experience using RF scanners considered an asset
