JOB DESCRIPTION
The Collections Driver is responsible for completing pre and post trip inspections, execution of service delivery, internal and external truck cleanliness and tipper greasing, incident, near miss and workplace illness reporting, and DOT and legislated driving requirements.
As a Representative for the Business, Collections Drivers must be customer service oriented and always maintain a positive outward appearance within the community.

- Review the daily schedule including the collection points, quantities, special instructions, and any specific customer requirements before beginning each day. Communicate with the Operations Supervisor to give updates on progress, delays, site issues, or other necessary information.
- Communicate with customers in a respectful manner to ensure a high level of customer service, and maintain a sharp professional image with a clean and well kept uniform.
- Stay up to date by attending, and participating in all mandatory company meetings.
SITE ISSUE MANAGEMENT
- Report Customer Feedback
- Document all issues that are encountered on site. (Photographs, and Descriptions)
- Maintain Site Cleanliness
- Document all site issues that are encountered throughout the day, and provide detailed descriptions of the issue, and the resolution if one was possible.
- All issues that are not able to be resolved need to be called in to the Operations Supervisor.
- Maintaining site cleanliness is an important function and needs to be documented when required.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE CHECKS
- Pre / Post Trip Inspections
- Weekly Maintenance Checks
- Monthly Vehicle Inspections
- Interior / Exterior Vehicle Cleanliness
- Verify the functionality of all safety equipment
- Maintain Consumables
- Report Incidents and Driving Infractions
- Keep Fuel Logs
- Following the established pre and post-trip inspection checklist, the Driver will be able to inspect the vehicle, and ensure it is in proper working order before, during, and after each scheduled shift.
- Report any and all observed defects, issues, or damages to the maintenance team as soon as is necessary to ensure the vehicle remains in proper working order.
- Vehicle Cleanliness is to be maintained at all times.
- Maintain Fuel Logs for accurate tracking.
- It is the drivers Responsibility to ensure that the load is properly secured and distributed, adhering to safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Ensure that all required documentation, such as logbooks or electronic records are properly completed, signed, and submitted in a timely manner.
FOLLOW SAFE WORK PROCEDURES

- Communicate any critical or immediate safety concerns, incidents, driving infractions, or workplace illness to the Operations Supervisor as soon as is safe to do so.
