Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in dealership settings or with heavy and industrial equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles and machinery, utilizing a broad skill set including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering high-quality service, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Duties

Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
Work on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively
Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently when required
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs needed and timelines
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs

Skills

Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
Dealership experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
Familiarity with HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics
Ability to operate heavy equipment including industrial machinery and power tools
Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair tasks
Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Experience working with assembly processes or industrial equipment is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
