Full job description

At NEXT Compression Corp, we're powering the future with industry-leading natural gas compression, refrigeration, and power generation solutions. We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Millwright to join our growing team, where you'll gain hands-on experience, develop valuable trade skills, and work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with precision tools to ensure components are installed and set up to meet specific manufacturers’ standards.
Install, manipulate, and fabricate piping and tubing systems to specifications.
Install, adjust, repair, and replace machine parts as required.
Install mechanical components, and fabricate piping systems, supports, and brackets.
Inspection, disassembly, reassembly, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical equipment on site.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify problems and resolve them.
Working knowledge and use of a micrometer, calipers, dial indicators, and other tools necessary to measure and set required tolerances.
Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and operation & maintenance manuals.
Read prints and P&IDs to interpret the work to be completed, the required equipment, and required tools to perform assigned work and sign off on required documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Registered apprentice
Experience with rigging, overhead cranes, or other industrial and mechanical knowledge is an asset.
Strong diagnostic skills with an ability to understand and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical drawings/schematics.
