About Us:

We’re excited to introduce The Playbook Commons, an exciting new restaurant located in the heart of Exhibition Place!

Blending the energy of a steakhouse with the comfort of American-Italian cuisine and the excitement of sports theatre, The Playbook Commons offers a vibrant, welcoming space where great food meets great company - and where lasting memories are made.

This posting is for a currently existing role.

What You'll Do:

Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized
Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and end of shifts
Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
Keep the food and supply storage areas organized
Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
Report hazards, incidents observed and broken items to supervisors or management
Once a kitchen is closed, assist in cleaning to make sure that the kitchen is ready for the next day
Lift and move heavy boxes up to 20kg
Clear used dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables and bring them to the dishwashing area.
Restock clean plates, utensils, and glassware as needed.
Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to tables when necessary.
Remove trash and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
Monitor and restock supplies like napkins, condiments, or to-go containers.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.

What You'll Need:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
Prior restaurant experience
Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
