This isn't another D2D role.

Altera partners with leading home-service brands across Ontario. Our call center pre-books consultations with homeowners who have already raised their hand for available home-energy programs. You arrive on time, run the consultation, and close in the living room.

No cold knocking.
No prospecting.
No unqualified leads.

Disciplined execution on warm appointments. Nothing more. Nothing less.

You will spend your day face-to-face with strangers and on the phone with your leader. If sitting in a homeowner's living room and earning their trust in twenty minutes lights you up, keep reading. If it drains you, stop here — this is the wrong role for you, and we'd both rather you found that out now.

WHY ALTERA IS BUILT DIFFERENTLY

Most field-sales orgs hand you a territory and leave you to figure it out. We hand you an operating system.

Pre-set appointments only. Our call center books them. You close them.
Paid weekly after a 2-week ramp. Reliable, predictable, every Friday.
Paid training from Day 1. You close alongside your leader in Week 1 — not after weeks of unpaid shadowing.
Protected territories. One rep per area. You never compete internally for the same streets.
Real infrastructure. CRM, scripts, sales academies, field support, daily debrief rhythm.
Founder-led. Our founder personally built 2 sales organizations and generated over $40M in career revenue before launching Altera.

WHERE WE'RE DEPLOYING

Candidates are matched to a territory by residence and availability. Some territories have limited capacity, and placements are offered in the order complete applications are received.

A DAY AT ALTERA

Altera reps don't grind. They execute.

10:00 AM — Morning Huddle. Review yesterday's numbers. Roleplay objections. Plan the day. You don't get better in the field. You get better in the huddle.

11:00 AM — Hit the Territory. Full appointment sheet. Homeowners who already raised their hand. You're not hunting. You're closing.

11:30 AM – 7:30 PM — 5 to 7 In-Home Consultations. One-hour blocks. Build rapport, read the room, present options, handle objections, close on-site. Reps who run the system hit one close per two consultations. That's the math behind $150K–$200K earning years.

8:00 PM — Debrief. Log numbers, sync with your leader, review what worked. Wins are recognized. Misses are coached. Debriefs run remotely by phone or video from wherever your last appointment ends.

Saturdays. Optional but strongly recommended. Saturday is the highest-intent day of the week. Homeowners are home, decisions happen faster, and top producers consistently work it.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY PAY (READ THIS TWICE)

This is 100% commission, uncapped. That means:

$0 if you don't perform. There is no base, no floor, no draw you don't earn back.
$150K–$200K+ if you run the system the way we train it.
Well above that for top producers.

The number is not something we offer you. It's something you set. If you need a guaranteed salary to feel safe, this role will make you miserable and you should not apply. If the idea of an uncapped number you control excites you more than it scares you, you're the person we're looking for.

Plus: performance bonuses at volume milestones, mileage reimbursement, and a real advancement path — Rep → Senior Rep → Team Lead → Regional.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience isn't required. The wiring is. You'll thrive at Altera if you:

Bring your own fire. Nobody has to light it for you every morning. You show up already lit.
Own your numbers. When a month is down, your first move is to review your execution — not blame the lead, the territory, or the customer.
Win people fast. You read a room, build trust with a stranger, and lead them to a confident yes.
Get coaching once. You take direct feedback, apply it that day, and don't need to be told twice.
Run your own engine. You hit your output without someone standing over you.
Hold the line on punctuality and accountability — for yourself, before anyone asks.

You'll need a valid Ontario G or G2 license and reliable vehicle access, comfort with smartphone-based tools (CRM, scheduling, digital docs), and the ability to present yourself professionally and communicate with clarity and confidence.

Prior HVAC, solar, insurance, telecom, or in-home sales experience is an asset — not a requirement. We've developed consistent $100K+ closers from adjacent fields when the underlying capability was there.

THIS IS NOT FOR EVERYONE

Be honest with yourself. This role is the wrong fit if:

You blame the lead, the territory, or the economy before you review your own execution.
You need the fire lit for you every morning.
A stranger's living room drains you instead of energizing you.
You want easy or passive income.
You need constant supervision to keep your output up.

None of that makes you a bad person. It makes you a bad fit for this. Applying anyway wastes your time and ours.
