Full job description

Job Description:

JDS Energy & Mining Inc is seeking applications for an experienced Bolter Operator for an Underground Development Contract in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia, Canada. JDS has been the primary underground contract onsite for the past two years and is task to complete over 27km of development. The Project is located approximately 180km south of Prince George, BC and is a camp-based project.

Certificates/Qualifications:

5+ years on bolter, familiarity with MacLean Bolter’s would be considered an asset.
BC Blasting ticket would be considered an asset, must be capable in obtaining one (pass a background check).
All on site employees will be required to be able to get and maintain a valid driver’s license, TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods), and WHMIS.
First Aid Training (OFA 1-3) would be considered an asset.
The ability to work in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.
All positions must be physically fit and able to lift up to 70lbs.

Schedule:

Rotations will be 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off.
12 hour a day shift
Day Shift Position with possible Night Shift emergency call outs.

Renumeration:

Competitive pay with total compensation commensurate with working experience.
Hourly wage is paid as per BC labour laws (OT after 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week).
Sliding scale bonus based on development productivity, target set at CA$45.00 per hour.
Benefits.
8 hours paid travel.
Travel, and expenses paid bi-weekly, based on point of hire.
Flights are booked and paid for by JDS.
Commuting by personal vehicle is reimbursed at a set rate.
Per Diem is provided on travel days.
Client accommodation includes meals provided during shift.
