Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with various metal fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, and assembly, to produce high-quality metal components and structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and experience with fabrication tools and machinery. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, construction, and metalwork to contribute to complex projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications
Perform MIG and TIG welding with precision to assemble metal components according to specifications
Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools for shaping and forming metal parts
Use calipers, power tools, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality control
Rigging and handling heavy materials using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently
Assist with machining processes as needed for component fabrication
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Conduct basic troubleshooting on equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
Follow manufacturing standards for ductwork, assembly, and construction projects as required

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) and metal fabrication within manufacturing or construction environments
Mechanical knowledge of machinery such as press brakes, plasma cutters, cranes, forklifts, and hand/power tools
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with calipers, basic math skills for measurements, and schematic interpretation
Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a plus
Experience with machining processes and assembly work preferred
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, fabrication equipment, and heavy machinery
Construction or ductwork experience is advantageous
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
