Site Supervisor – Cornerstone Homes

Position Summary

Cornerstone Homes is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to oversee residential construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating trades, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining project schedules, and upholding safety standards on all job sites.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a solid understanding of residential construction practices and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
Manage daily scheduling of trades, suppliers, and inspections
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
Conduct regular site inspections and address deficiencies promptly
Ensure compliance with Alberta building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicate effectively with homeowners, trades, suppliers, and internal team members
Review plans, specifications, and construction details to ensure accuracy
Track project progress and provide regular updates to management
Resolve site issues efficiently and professionally

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of residential construction supervision experience
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
Proficient communication skills with clients, trades, and team members
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Knowledge of Alberta building codes and occupational health & safety requirements
Proficiency with construction management software is considered an asset
Multi Family mixed use construction experience an asset
