Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team, working alternate weekends from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This role is vital in supporting the nutritional needs of residents in retirement settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and providing excellent customer care, ensuring that meal preparation, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met. This position offers an opportunity to work in a compassionate environment focused on enhancing residents' quality of life through nutritious and well-presented meals.

Responsibilities

Serve meals to residents with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, following proper food handling procedures
Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Support the kitchen team in cleaning duties, including dishwashing, surface sanitation, and equipment maintenance
Adhere to time management practices to ensure meals are served promptly during scheduled hours

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and staff
Experience with food handling, sanitation, and maintaining a clean work environment
Ability to manage time effectively to meet meal schedules and cleanliness standards
Basic kitchen experience including serving and meal presentation skills
Reliable transportation for alternate weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $19.10 per hour

Work Location: In person
