Job Opportunity: Industrial Millwright
Location: McIlvenna Sask.
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts
Compensation: $45/hour + $10/hour bonus

Join our team as a Millwright where your skills will directly contribute to a commisioning a new Mill.

Are you an experienced Industrial Millwright looking for a challenging and rewarding commissioning opportunity? We are seeking skilled professionals to support a Mill commissioning opportunity in McIlvenna Saskatchewan. This role offers excellent compensation, travel support, and LOA benefits while working in a safety-focused, team-driven environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to support the commissioning of a new mill facility. This role will play a critical part in ensuring all mechanical systems and equipment are installed, aligned, tested, and operating safely and efficiently prior to full production start-up.

The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, commissioning experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, electricians, contractors, and operations teams in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with mechanical installation, inspection, and alignment of new mill equipment
Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including:
Equipment inspections and verification
Lubrication and fluid system checks
Mechanical run-ins and performance testing
Vibration analysis and adjustments
Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals
Troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and start-up
Perform precision alignments (laser alignment experience considered an asset)
Conduct bearing installations, gearbox setup, pump alignment, and conveyor system checks
Work closely with engineering and operations teams to identify and resolve deficiencies
Document deficiencies, corrective actions, and commissioning reports
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and site procedures

Qualifications

Valid Industrial Mechanic/Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred).
Proven experience in industrial or heavy-duty environments, preferably mining or manufacturing.
Experience with mill maintenance and crushers is a strong asset.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with workplace safety standards and procedures.
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and travel to site.
Must provide a current criminal record check.

Experience

Previous experience in industrial shutdowns or maintenance projects preferred.
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings is essential.
Experience with welding and fabrication processes is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving ability to analyze complex mechanical issues.
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with team members and supervision.
