Full job description

Job Overview

The Big Bounce Theory is a growing event rental company specializing in inflatables, tents, tables, chairs, foam machines, generators, trackless trains and more.

We are looking for mulitple reliable, hardworking Handlers & Drivers to join our team. This role involves loading equipment, towing trailers, delivering to event sites, setting up rentals, interacting with customers, and returning equipment to our shop.

You will be the face of our company at events, so professionalism and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Arrive on time and in proper work attire
Safely hitch and tow trailers up to 14' feet in length
Confidently back up and maneuver trailers in residential and event settings
Drive trucks and trailers to various event locations
Load and secure equipment using dollies and proper strapping techniques
Contact customers when en route
Set up and take down inflatables and rental equipment safely and efficiently
Follow customer placement instructions
Return equipment to shop and unload into proper storage areas
Follow company procedures and policies
Cleaning inflatables during the week + occasional week day deliveries

Requirements

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required) Class 1 an asset
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Must be confident driving and maneuvering trailers up to 14'
Applicants will be required to hitch and back up a trailer as part of the interview process
Ability to lift up to 32 kg (70 lbs) repeatedly
Customer service experience
Strong communication skills
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Reliable transportation (uber, bus is not an option)
Must pass a criminal record check
Must be legally allowed to work in Canada

Mandatory PPE (Employee Supplied)

All team members are required to provide their own:

CSA-approved steel toe boots
Durable work gloves

PPE must be worn at all job sites.

Work Conditions

Typical Shifts on weekends (8–12 hours typical) with occasional out of city overnights (as required)
Outdoor work environment
Frequent driving to new locations
Heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
Work can be physically demanding and occasionally dirty
Week Day Cleaning of Inflatables + Occasional Week Day Deliveries

Position Details

Job Type: Temporary Full Time/ Part Time

Hours:
Up to 40 hours per week depending on bookings
Weekends and holidays required

Pay:
$20.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Bonus pay and tips available

Work Location: In-person
Language: English (required)

Potential for growth within the company with full time year round work and possible management opportunities

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
