Altea is not another big box gym. It's not a boutique studio. It's something the Canadian fitness industry hasn't seen before and the boutique fitness program is one of the most visible reasons why.
Members plan their week around the classes inside Altea. The formats, the instructors, the energy in the studio these are not background features. They are a core part of why people join, why they stay, and why they bring people they care about. The Boutique Fitness Manager is the person who makes all of that excellent and keeps it that way.
This is a role for someone who has been excellent at building fitness programs and developing instructors and who is ready to do it inside a club that gives them the infrastructure, the support, and the member community to do it at a level they have not had access to before.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAD:
- Your Instructor Team: You recruit, develop, schedule, and hold accountable a team of boutique fitness instructors and the Boutique Fitness Lead. Your team's quality on the floor is a direct reflection of your leadership.
- The Programming: You own the class schedule, format mix, and programming quality across the boutique fitness program. You know what your members want, you know what the market is doing, and you build a schedule that drives attendance and retention.
- The Standard: Class quality, instructor preparation, studio presentation, and member experience, you audit regularly, coach consistently, and address gaps before they become patterns.
- The Numbers: Class utilization, attendance trends, member retention in the program, and instructor performance metrics are yours to watch and act on.
- The Community: The boutique fitness studio has an energy, and you set it. Members who feel connected to the program stay longer, refer more, and invest more and that connection starts with the culture you build.
WHO YOU ARE:
You are not here to manage a schedule. You are here to build a program that members and instructors are genuinely proud to be part of.
- You lead from the floor. You know your instructors, their strengths, their growth edges, and when something is off before they tell you. Your presence in the studio is how your team knows what the standard looks like.
- You develop people as a reflex. You identify talent early, invest in it intentionally, and build an instructor team that gets better because of how you lead them not just in spite of your absence.
- You are a programming thinker. You understand how a class schedule drives member behaviour. You read attendance data, you know what is working and what is not, and you make changes with intention rather than reaction.
- You are hungry for results, not recognition. You take class utilization and member retention personally. You see a gap in the program and you close it because you are proud of what this program should be and you hold it to that standard.
- You execute within a proven system. You are not here to reinvent boutique fitness. You are here to run it better than anyone else has at this club and in doing so, help define what it becomes.
