Overview

We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to join our team at Yukon Gold Mining. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery essential for mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in a dynamic environment. Candidates with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and construction experience are encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment and contribute to successful mining projects in Yukon.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and paving equipment to support mining activities.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
Assist with horizontal drilling operations and other construction-related tasks as needed.
Manage material movement efficiently across the site, adhering to safety protocols.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.

Skills

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and paving equipment.
Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of heavy machinery.
Commercial driving experience preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and construction site operations.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation in mining environments.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and operate machinery for extended periods.
Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding project workflows and site safety standards.

This position is ideal for skilled operators looking to advance their careers within the mining industry while working on challenging projects in Yukon.

Pay: $22.07-$40.36 per hour
