ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for CNC Operators to join our Production team.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently set-up and operate 3 or 5-axis horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines with Fanuc or Siemens controls
Perform in-process checks of parts
Precise use of various measuring devices
Monitor cutting tool performance throughout the machining process
Safe operation of forklift and overhead crane
Support 5S and Lean manufacturing processes
Maintain a clean machine and work environment
Maintain fixtures as needed for optimal function
Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

CNC Machinist Technician Diploma (or similar education) or a related, equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
Previous experience in high-precision CNC machining strongly preferred
Good understanding and use of CNC machine controls
General knowledge of speed and feed applications
Knowledge of cutting tools
Good written and spoken English
Very good organizational skills with attention to small details
Must work well in a team environment
Must be able to work various shifts, such as day, afternoon, night, or weekend
Must be able to demonstrate safe operation of machinery
Ability to do precision set-ups

This is a physically demanding job and requires the following:

Excellent hand and eye coordination
Ability to work on set-ups for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Safe use of hand and power tools
