Evolution Mechanical is a Canadian owned business. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Welder to join our team. We are hiring for a position in our shop in Edmonton, AB. This shift is 7 days on, 7 days off, 11 hour days. We pay overtime on this shift. If you are a reliable and dedicated professional looking to showcase your journeyman - welder skills in a dynamic work environment, we encourage you to apply. Benefits are provided after 3 months of work. Our benefits offer 100% coverage. Due to business needs, this position must be filled immediately. Responsibilities:

Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding on diverse materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine the appropriate welding process and equipment.
Ensure all welding activities meet the required safety standards and regulations.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure welded components meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in optimal working condition.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently.
Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues to maintain consistent project timelines.

Qualifications:

Valid Journeyman certification in your trade from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in your trade, with a proven track record of success.
In-depth knowledge of welding techniques and safety practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical stamina to perform welding tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting.
