Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience, supporting food and beverage service, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols are followed at all times
Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service
Process payments accurately through cashiering functions, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including table clearing and sanitation duties
Assist in kitchen or food preparation tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve issues professionally to ensure guest satisfaction

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
Experience with food industry operations including serving, upselling, and cash handling is desirable
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
