Full job description

We are a custom, precision tool shop that produces a variety of stamping dies, primarily for the automotive industry.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating CNC milling machines with a focus on product quality, effeciency and problem solving. The CNC Operator will play a critical role in producing high-quality components efficiently and safely.

Must have 3-5 years experience in a custom machining environment as a CNC setup/operator.
Must have strong setup skills.
A machinist trade certificate or experience in a tool and die setting is considered an asset.
Must adhere to strict tolerances, able to work proficiently with precision measuring equipment, ie. vernier/micrometer, calibrate tools and set tool offsets.
Must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and tooling.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision, be dependable, have strong self-initiative, be flexible and consistently meet deadlines.
Must have a positive attitude, able to make sound decisions and can work well in a team environment.
Must be able to follow the direction of CNC Programmer regarding machining methods as well as provide positive input as opportunities arise.
Must be able to read/interpret drawings/part specifications and able to verify/adjust speeds and feeds for optimum machining.
Must be able to adapt to ever changing priorities and production requirements.
Must have excellent communication skills, respect all team members and be reliable.
Day shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Afternoon shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-2:00am
Willing to work overtime when required.
Starting wage will reflect applicant’s experience.
