Full job description

House of Fork is seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Bartender/Server to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospitality and demonstrated experience preparing high-quality craft cocktails while delivering exceptional guest service. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive, professional service and create a welcoming experience for all guests.
Prepare and serve craft cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard of consistency and presentation.
Demonstrate knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beers, cocktail techniques, and current beverage trends.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.
Make beverage recommendations based on guest preferences and menu pairings.
Process guest payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Verify legal drinking age and comply with all provincial liquor regulations and responsible beverage service requirements.
Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory management, and bar preparation.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a restaurant, cocktail bar, or upscale hospitality environment.
Proven experience preparing craft cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation.
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine, beer, and modern mixology techniques.
Valid ProServe Certification (Alberta), or ability to obtain certification before employment.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
