Overview

(Flat, Pitch, Metal, Cedar…etc)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in roofing, carpentry, or general construction to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and physical stamina are essential for success in this role.

Duties

Install new roofing materials on various types of buildings according to project specifications and safety guidelines
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to extend the lifespan of roofs
Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives to perform installation and repair tasks
Read and interpret basic blueprints to accurately execute roofing plans
Perform caulking around flashing and seams to ensure waterproofing integrity
Conduct heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
Ability to assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural support is desired
Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools used in roofing and construction work
Prior roofing, construction or handyman experience is highly desirable
Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
Experience working with at least 1 type of roofing material, such as shingles, metal panels, cedar, tile or membranes
Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. This position provides an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to advance their careers in roofing and construction.
