Full job description

Our client is a manufacturer of custom stainless steel and aluminum products. They are looking for a permanent TIG welder

Dayshift 6:45am-3:45pm

Location: Milton, ON

Payrate: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour

(Permanent after 3 months of probation)

Description of Position

Set up jobs and operate TIG welding equipment as well as grinders, sanders, air extractors, drill presses
Produce quality welds as per drawings/work instructions and customer requirements
Follow work instructions, read drawings and maintain standard times
Check and test welds as per department procedures and quality standards
Operate and load/unload Robotic Welder
General housekeeping and day to day tool maintenance to ensure equipment is working properly
Complete all paperwork and data entry as required
Follow all CWB and ISO procedures and maintain quality standards
Follow all safety procedures and policies
Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Hand
Team player willing to help out in other departments as required

Qualifications

Trained and Experienced TIG Welder using mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel (3+ years)
Strong ability to set up and operate mig welding stations, drill presses, grinder and air extractors according to product specifications and safety regulations
Knowledgeable of proper welding procedures and processes to meet CWB standards, CWB certified is an asset
Good communication skills
Ability to read drawings to ensure part is to run according to specifications and work instructions
Ability to perform all physical requirements for the job and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexible to afternoon shift and to work weekends and overtime as required
Knowledge of ISO procedures or similar quality standards and processes
Focused on safe working procedures
Willingness to learn and be trained in the job
Team player willing to follow Supervisor and Managers instructions and help out in other departments as required

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
